5 Ways to Spice Up Your BBQ Favourites
One of the best ways to enjoy your patio or outdoor area is to host a barbecue for family and friends. So for this week’s blog entry, we decided to list some of our favourite new takes on classic barbecue dishes.
1. Zesty Bourbon Steak
There’s no better way to cook a steak than on a hot barbecue grill. But we like to take our steaks up a notch with a delicious bourbon glaze. It’s easy to make too, all you need is some bourbon, orange juice, sugar and mustard powder.
2. Caribbean Jerk Chicken
Everybody loves barbecued chicken pieces, and one of the best ways to prepare them is with a simple Caribbean style marinade. For best results, we recommend marinating overnight, before cooking on the grill.
3. Chickpea Veggie Burgers
These chickpea veggie burgers are tasty enough to make even the most ardent meat-eaters think twice. Plus they’re a great barbecue alternative for when you’re hosting vegetarian family and friends.
4. Roasted Potato Salad
Nothing warms up a barbie, like home-roasted potatoes. Combined with some trusted roasting spices like garlic, parsley and oregano, a roasted potato salad is the perfect way to heat up a winter feast.
5. Mexican Corn on the Cob
Naturally delicious and easy-to-prepare, corn on the cob, is the ideal side for every home barbeque. To give this dish a Mexican twist, try mixing lime zest, chilli and butter in a bowl, before adding it to the cooked corn.
