Low level decks are very similar to ground level decks but can be up to 990mm in height, which is still below the height where handrails are required. As a result of this added height, low level decks are perfect for areas where there are uneven surfaces, making your outdoor space both functional and attractive.

WHAT IS A LOW LEVEL DECK?

A low level deck is slightly elevated compared to a ground level deck, usually defined by its measurements of the lowest point (the bottom of a bearer) less than 400mm from the ground. Low level decks are typically installed when a deck is wanted straight outside an entry door of a ground-level slab home, for instance.

WHY CHOOSE A LOW LEVEL DECK?

Low level decks have a number of advantages over elevated decks. As well as being functional and attractive, it has fewer safety requirements and does not require stairs or handrails. As there aren’t as many design considerations, low level decks are often a more cost-effective solution.
